FAQ

  • Who Can Join Biznetcork Skillnet?

The Biznetcork Skillnet is promoted by Cork Chamber but membership of the network is open to any business in the Cork region that has an interest in developing their staff and networking with other companies in the area. The only criteria we look for is that the comapny is willing to be actively involved and be open to sharing knowledge with other members in an appropriate manner.

  • If I am unemployed can I receive training?

Unfortunately the network is prohibited from delivering training courses to individuals that are not in employment. That is the role of FAS and as we are funded by the same department (Dept of Enterprise Trade and Employment) we have to abide by the rules set out in our funding agreements. Biznetcork Skillnet can deliver training to individuals employed in the member companies only. All companies interested in training their people are welcome to join the network.

  • What will it cost my Company to Join?

As with most networks there is a small fee for membership of Biznetcork Skillnet. We apply the fee based on company size (Employees) as follows:

    1-09 Employees: €100
    11-49 Employees: €250
    50-99 Employees: €500
    100-249 Employees: €750
    250 + Employees: €1000

When you consider that the per-head cost of attending a training course through the network is approaximately 1/3 of the cost of attending the same course outside the network framework it means that the membership fee pays for itself in a very short period of time.

  • In fact this can be as quickly as the first programme attended depending on how many participate and the savings generated.
